- Frequency range: 200Hz – 10kHz

- Process control on demand (temperature controller, etc.)
- Usually separate MF-Capacitor bank, but for smaller converters, it can be included in the converter’s cabinet. Adjustable load capacitor bank.
- Isolation/matching transformer
- Power input: 3 Phase 400VAC, 660VAC, 50 – 60Hz
- Water cooled
- Melting furnace – designed based on the client’s requirements, there are classical refractor concrete based furnaces with hydraulic unload, or furnaces with special crucible, like graphite crucible
- Pump stations for the furnaces – redundant pumping station having 2 pumps, soft starter or inverter for the pumps, buffer tank, heat exchanger, temperature controller
Description
The melting converters are characterized by high power and low frequency. The melting converters are part of a melting system, consisting of furnace, MF-capacitor bank, power cable and re-cooling unit for the converter and for the furnace. The converters are equipped with specific equipment required by the melting process, like furnace ground fault monitoring system or furnace sintering software.
